An Overview of GD Goenka Global School
A world-class international school in Gurgaon where Pre-Nursery to Grade 8 students learn to think for themselves, not just repeat what they’re told.
Dr. Capt. K.P. Pallavi
Vice Principal, GD Goenka Global School
Vice Principal
Twenty-five years is long enough to see education from nearly every angle, and Dr. Capt. K.P. Pallavi has done exactly that. Her career runs through higher education institutions, international schools, the Indian Army, and the non-profit sector, four very different worlds that don’t often show up on the same resume, let alone shape the same person.
What ties it together is a consistent thread. Academic excellence and institutional growth aren’t things she talks about, they’re things she’s built, repeatedly, through innovative learning practices, stronger educational systems, and environments where students and educators actually get room to thrive.
Her academic grounding runs deep. Dr. Pallavi holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Savitribai Phule Pune University, completed under the guidance of Prof. Santishree D. Pandit, alongside a Masters’ Diploma in Business Administration (MDBA) from the Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. That foundation shows up in her range, academic administration, curriculum development, faculty mentoring, strategic planning, quality assurance, and hands-on implementation of progressive initiatives like NEP 2020.
Over the years, she’s held nearly every leadership role a school can offer, Vice Principal, Principal, Headmistress, Program Coordinator, HOD, Academic Administrator, across institutions including St. Edmund’s College, Indus International School, Banyan Tree World School, Excelsior American School, VIDYA School, Global Indian International School, and schools under the Army Welfare Education Society. Wherever she’s gone, the focus has stayed the same, strong academic systems, real talent development, and genuinely inclusive learning environments.
Her international exposure runs just as deep, research at Wuhan University, and participation in the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms Programme, both of which opened doors to real global partnerships and cultural exchange rather than the ceremonial kind. Recognition has followed accordingly, the EREBB Leadership Certificate, the VIDYA Outstanding Impact Award, and the Joint Indo-Chinese Government Scholarship for Doctoral Research, each one a marker of someone who treats innovation and lifelong learning as an ongoing practice, not a phase.
As Vice Principal at GD Goenka Global School, Dr. Pallavi is working toward a learning environment that’s genuinely nurturing and genuinely future-ready, one where academic excellence and global perspective aren’t competing priorities.
