Grade 3 – Science Experiment
Curious Minds at Work: Exploring Physical & Chemical Changes
As part of their ongoing inquiry into How the World Works, our Grade 3 learners participated in an exciting hands-on experiment session on Physical and Chemical Changes with our subject expert, Ms Farheen, in the Science Laboratory.
Using everyday materials such as baking soda, turmeric, and vinegar, learners explored fascinating reactions and observed how substances change and transform. Through active experimentation and observation, they discovered the difference between physical and chemical changes while developing a deeper understanding of how matter behaves in the world around them.
Demonstrating the IB Learner Profile attribute of being Inquirers, students enthusiastically asked thoughtful questions, made careful observations, and confidently shared their ideas using effective communication skills. The engaging laboratory experience encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful connections between scientific concepts and real-life experiences.
