Obon Festival

Bon: A Japanese Festival of Remembrance at GD Goenka Global School At GD Goenka Global School we recently embraced the rich cultural traditions of Japan by commemorating the Bon Festival, a time-honored event that honors the spirits of ancestors. This vibrant festival, also known as Obon, provided our students with a unique opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and the importance of remembering and respecting those who came before us. A highlight of the event was the Bon Odori, a traditional dance performed during the Bon Festival. Students, dressed in colourful kimonos participated in the dance, learning the graceful movements and the significance of each step.
