Ms Navina Chadha, a committed educationist carrying 17 years of experience in the field of Primary education, has been associated with prominent schools of India. Her quest for innovation and excellence in education enables her students to make a mark in their chosen career and contribute to a better world. She has to her credit a vast range of teaching and administrative experience. Her forte, she claims, is the personal touch she gives whether it is teaching in class, interacting with parents or putting systems and practices in place. She has had international exposure too and has worked at Griffield Primary School, Derby, United Kingdom and as PrePrimary Head at DPS Dubai for a brief period.
She is associated with GD Goenka Global School, Gurugram, as Principal and has been the founder member of the school. Being a member of the core team she has passionately led the Operations team and shaped up the school with the best facilities and curricula with utmost zeal aiming to lead the institution to an unparalleled zenith of perfection.
She has a philanthropic spirit and has contributed to society by imparting free education to the victims of the 1984 riots by opening two coaching centres, a library and a computer training centre in collaboration with Delhi Police in Piragarhi, New Delhi. She has also supported various Non-Government Organizations like Scope Plus & Dr Kiran Bedi’s Foundation for prisoners of Tihar Jail.
Her interest in the field of education for children with special needs brought about a collaboration between herself and Tamanna Special School as an Honorary Headmistress, wherein she played an instrumental role in drafting the curriculum for the children and taught them using various teaching pedagogies.
She is an alumnus Holy Child School and has done her B.Sc – Home Science from one of the premier institutions – Lady Irwin College, New Delhi. She completed her B.Ed from Delhi University and further she pursued her Masters in English from Agra University. She has undergone IB training as well. She has always been a meritorious student and stood third in Delhi University during her graduation and B.Ed. She is a recipient of the National Award in Essay Writing Competition on ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ by the Vice-President of India in the year 1988. Having a flair for writing, she has been editor of school magazines and a religious bi-monthly newspaper.
With this rich experience, multi-faceted personality her vision is to ‘expose’ students to international and cosmopolitan values that will create exciting challenges and exceptional opportunities; and to provide a caring atmosphere to each student, and nurture young minds to embody the values of diligence along with academic excellence”.
