Understanding of the concept ‘Measurement’
Children generally develop the basic concepts of measurement by comparing objects with each other. They need to play and experiment with a variety of things before they can move to use formal units such as inches or yards when describing or measuring quantity.
In this activity, students exhibited good thinking and research skills while reflecting upon their understanding of the concept ‘Measurement’ through a hands-on activity in which they measured objects using different standard and non-standard units of measurement.
